MS PRIMADONNA: CLASSICAL BIKE AND BOAT CRUISE, PASSAU - BUDAPEST - PASSAU
1st day, individual arrival to Passau
by train/car and transfer from the parking space (Donau Touristik-infopoint) or train station in Passau to the ship. Welcome evening. Approx. 6:30 p.m. “Cast off”!
2nd day, Schlögen – Linz (56 km)
Starting from UNESCO World Heritage Site „Schlögener Schlinge“ through the uninhabited valley Kaiserau to the baroque market Aschach and via Ottensheim further on to Linz.
3rd day, Tulln – Wien (31 km)
After breakfast individual visit of the Egon Schiele-museum and garden exhibition in Tulln. Bike tour from the flower-city Tulln, with nice view to the extensions of the Viennese forest past Klosterneuburg to Vienna. Individual visit of Vienna or tour by bike (+ 18 km). After dinner sightseeing tour by bus (2 hours) from Nußdorfer Platz.
4th day, Esztergom - Szentendre (59 km) - Budapest (40 minutes by train/22 km by bike)
Arrival at 9:30 a.m. On the E6 through the Danube Bend on car-free cycle paths (75 %), access roads (10 %) and secondary roads (15 %) to the ferry to Szob (payable on site). Past Visegrád (castle, townscape, citadel) to Vác and by ferry to the Szentendre island and in the same name vineyard | by train (payable on site, approx. every hour) to Budapest and/or car-free to the ship.
5th day, Visit Budapest / Bike tour to the Margarete’s island (22 km)
Sightseeing tour Budapest by bus (3 hours). In the afternoon on 100 % car-free bike paths into the pedestrian zone to stroll around and/or shop and further on to the Margarete’s island, the wonderful recreation zone in the middle of the city. In the evening by ship through the beautifully illuminated Magyar metropolis.
6th day, Visit Bratislava & bike tour Bratislava – Devin - Bratislava (33/48 km)
Guided city walk Bratislava (1 hour) and later along the Danube-bike path via Wolfsthal to Hainburg and to Schloss Eckartsau (castle). Back on same way or further to Schloss (castle) Hof and Devín (approx. 6 km busy secondary road).
7th day, Bike tour Krems – Pöchlarn (48 km)
From UNESCO World Heritage City Krems to Dürnstein. Continue cycling to Spitz and from afar you will see the impressive monastery Melk which is worth seeing. Continue to Pöchlarn.
8th day, Disembarkation/Passau
Arrival in Passau at approx. 9 a.m. – after the breakfast at approx. 10 a.m. bus transfer to the train station/parking space and home journey.
